Rental Terms & Conditions

This agreement is between Happy Crates LLP (“Happy Crates”) and the Renter (“You”)

2. Rental Terms of Service 

2.1 By placing an order, You, the Renter, are entering a Contract with Happy Crates for the rental of our Product. 

2.2 These are the terms & conditions of the Contract. These and all relevant written correspondence relating to specific terms & conditions about the Contract, form the entire Contract between you and Happy Crates. Any other terms & conditions that you use yourself, do not apply. 

2.3 These terms & conditions can only be adjusted upon agreement by you and Happy Crates and the adjustments are put in writing by Happy Crates. 

2.4 The Period of Rental begins immediately on the agreed date of collection from our premises or when it has been delivered to you. The Period of Rental ends when everything you have rented, is returned within acceptable conditions. 

2.5 You are responsible for the Product all the time they are not in our premises. You must take good care of the Product and keep them in your possession throughout the Period of Rental and any extension.

2.6 You are liable for all loss or damage caused to the Product. You must tell us in writing of any loss of or damage to the Product without delay and you will pay to Happy Crates the full cost of the replacement of the Product. In the case of damage/loss of Product, you will be liable for and charged the stated retail cost of the Product (as per what is stated on your collection slip).

2.7 You may not alter or modify the Product in any way. In the case of damage of Product, you will be liable for and charged the stated retail cost of the Product (as per what is stated on your Rental Acknowledgement Form).

2.8 Extensions

2.8.1 Happy Crates must agree to any extension to the Period of Rental. Extensions that are requested and agreed to before commencing the Period of Rental will be charged at a daily rate of 25% of the rental price (before discounts and promotions are applied) and must be paid upon agreement of extension. Extensions that are that are requested and agreed to after commencing the Period of Rental will be charged at a daily rate of 50% of the rental price (before discounts and promotions are applied), and must be paid upon return.

2.8.2 If the Product is held beyond the agreed Period of Rental, they remain in your possession without our consent. In addition to the extension fees, we will charge you for any damages for breach of this Contract if this causes loss to Happy Crates. 

2.9 If you are uncontactable or unavailable during the agreed delivery/pickup timings, leading to a failed delivery/pickup of the Product, you will be charged accordingly for any additional arrangements to deliver/pickup the Product.

2.10 Happy Crates will use our best efforts to ensure the Product are provided in a good condition. You must notify us of any damage or discrepancy before commencing the Period of Rent. Failure to notify us within that time period means that you have accepted the Product in the quantity, quality and condition in which they were received. 

2.11 The Product remain the property of Happy Crates at all times and you have no right or interest in them. If the Product is sold to you by written agreement, title passes from Happy Crates to you when the purchase price and all monies owing from you to Happy Crates in relation to the Product being purchased are paid in full.

2.12 You can only use our Product for the specified production that you told us about. You cannot use our Product for any other purpose without our prior written permission. You cannot let anyone else use the Product.

2.13 Unless it is for the designated filming/photo shooting purposes notified to us before making the Contract or for any authorised purpose ancillary or related to such specified purpose, you may not copy or duplicate either physically, electronically or digitally any item of the Product so that they appear simultaneously or otherwise more than once. If you do this, you will pay additional charges based on the standard rental charge for each item of the Product and the number of copies or duplicates made by you.

2.14 If there are any changes to delivery and/or return address and/or methods and/or dates and/or timings, Happy Crates must be notified at least 12 hours before the agreed delivery and/or return date. If Happy Crates is not informed before the cut off time, the charges for extensions that are that are requested and agreed to after commencing the Period of Rental will be at a daily rate of 50% of the rental price (before discounts and promotions are applied).

2.15 Happy Crates accepts no responsibility for injury caused to any person or damage caused to any property resulting from the rental of our Product.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

3.1 Cancellations of Contract with notice given at least 120 days before the agreed commencement of Period of Rental will be issued a full refund. This full refund is inclusive of rental price and any other costs minus any discounts given.

3.2 Cancellations of Contract with notice given within 119 to 30 days before the agreed commencement of Period of Rental will be charged 50% of the rental price and any other costs before any discounts given. The remainder of the monies paid will be refunded.

3.3 Cancellations of Contract with notice given less than 30 days before the agreed commencement of Period of Rental will not be issued a refund.

3.4 Happy Crates may substitute components in the Product with other components that are equivalent in terms of value or aesthetics. In the event where Happy Crates is unable to provide an equivalent substitution, Happy Crates will provide a SGD 10 refund for each component they are not able to substitute, capped at the rental price paid minus any discounts given.

4. Exchange policy

4.1 Happy Crates allows one (1) exchange per Product per Contract.

4.2 Exchanges must be requested and agreed to before commencing the Period of Rental

4.3 If the rental price (before any discounts) of the exchange product is higher than the original product, the Renter will be required to top up the difference in cash. No refund will be provided if the rental price (before any discounts) of the exchange product is lower than the original product.

4.4 Exchanges with notice given at least 60 days before the agreed commencement of Period of Rental will not be charged any administrative fees.

4.5 Exchanges with notice given within 59 to 30 days before the agreed commencement of Period of Rental will be charged a 10% non-refundable administrative fee on the rental price (before any discounts) of the original product.

4.6 Exchanges with notice given less than 30 days before the agreed commencement of Period of Rental will be charged a 20% non-refundable administrative fees on the rental price (before any discounts) of the original product.
